ABOUT US

In Awajún language, Ikam means forest. Ikam Expeditions is an ecotourism company specialized in birding, primate and wildlife photography. Through our expeditions we seek to strengthen the relationship between people and nature, and produce shared benefits for our partners, allies of conservation and biodiversity.

It was founded in 2018 by Julio Cesar Tello Alvarado, in Moyobamba city, San Martin region; who in the last 15 years has been dedicated to bird and wildlife watching and related activities; as well as leading conservation projects of natural areas.
